That Friday Feeling

The weekend is almost upon us once again and we have an exciting weekend’s rugby for you here at Paton Field with both first and second teams in action at home on Saturday and a number of great fixtures for the minis and juniors including some Cheshire Cup matches.

First Team

After a difficult few weeks the first team start their 2019 home campaign against Chinnor who they beat by two points after an epic second half comeback saw the ravers victorious against the then National 1 league leaders. The two teams have had mixed fortunes since then, Chinnior now sit 6thin the league not far behind the leaders but have slipped lately thanks to poor results in December. However they started the year well, beating Cambridge at home by a single point last weekend.

Caldy’s poor end to 2018 continued into 2019 when they travelled to Loughborough Students who produced the game of their season coming out victorious by 53-19 plunging Caldy into a relegation battle between now and the end of the season.

Second Team

After last weekend’s disappointing defeat away at second place Chester, Caldy entertain Lymm in the final match before the second half of the season's fixtures start knowing a win will guarantee top spot and a defeat will mean an anxious wait for the Chester result.

Supporters are reminded that it is £10 entrance fee even if you are booked in for lunch Season ticket holders are reminded they must be shown failure to do so will mean the £10 entrance fee will be charged thank you in Advance for your co operation.
