Happy New Year

The first weekend of the new year upon us and Caldy will be looking to a good start to the new year with a trip to play bottom of the table Loughborough Students, hoping to improve on a record that has seen them win just twice in the last eight league games.

Students are this year celebrating their centenary as a club and Caldy will be looking to spoil the start of the celebrations and continue their good record at the University Stadium mindful of the fact that their hosts have won only three times in 16 outings this season loosing heavily 43-19 at Paton field in September.

The second team travel to local rivals and 2nd placed Chester with a win meaning Caldy will win this section of the league before the end of the first half of the season next weekend. For those not traveling to Loughborough this would be a good opportunity to see some good young prospects and those who’s fitness is not quite ready for 1st team action at Hare Lane Chester. Kick off is 2pm.
